What age is the Young Engineers program for?

Young Engineers programs are designed for children ages 4 to 15. We offer age-appropriate tracks from Mini Engineers (JK to SK, ages 4–6) through Junior Engineers (Grade 1+), Advanced Engineers (Grade 2+), and Coding & Robotics (Grade 3+). No prior experience is needed — just curiosity and a love of learning.

Young Engineers Toronto East End & Midtown runs programs across Leslieville, The Beaches, Riverdale, East York, Midtown, Rosedale, and Scarborough. Classes are held at local schools including Wilkinson, Morse, and Franklin, and at community centres across East Toronto. A new Beaches location is opening Fall 2026.

What happens in a Young Engineers session?

Children then use exclusive Young Engineers kits to build working models such as cranes, vehicles, and robots. Sessions include creative exploration, teamwork challenges, and a group reflection. In Coding & Robotics sessions, kids assemble and program their own robots using Bluetooth-connected tablets — everything is offline and screen-safe.

Young Engineers Toronto offers flexible delivery options: in-class enrichment during the school day, lunchtime clubs, after-school programs, special workshops on PA/PD days, and summer camp. Summer Camp 2026 runs July 6 to August 28, full-day with morning builds, afternoon coding, and weekly field trips.

Do I need to supply any materials or equipment?

No. Young Engineers provides everything: exclusive building kits, robotics equipment, lesson materials, and trained instructors. Your school or community space only needs to provide a classroom or activity room with tables and chairs. We handle setup and cleanup before and after every session.

Pricing depends on program type, session length, and group size. After-school programs start from $35 per session. Yes. If a class reaches capacity, you can join the waitlist through iamayoungengineer.com. Waitlist spots are held in order of sign-up. If a registered family cancels, the next family on the waitlist will be notified automatically.

Are Young Engineers programs safe and inclusive?

Yes. All Young Engineers instructors are trained and background-checked. Programs are designed for all learning styles and abilities — everyone is welcome. Activities are offline and Bluetooth-based, with no internet access required for students. Schools retain the option to have a staff representative present during sessions.

Yes. Young Engineers Summer Camp 2026 runs from July 6 to August 28 in Toronto East End. The full-day program runs 9 AM to 4 PM, with optional before-care (8:30 AM) and after-care (until 5 PM). Each week features themed engineering builds, coding sessions, and a field trip to locations across Toronto.
