Question 4

Is Young Engineers endorsed or accredited?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Young Engineers programs are officially recognized by the Harvard School of Education and the European Union Commission for their innovative approach to STEAM-R education. The program is trusted by schools and families in over 50 countries worldwide, and our curriculum aligns with the Ontario science, math, and technology curriculum.

Question 5

What happens in a Young Engineers session?

Accepted Answer

Each session starts with an engaging introduction connecting engineering concepts to real-world examples. Children then use exclusive Young Engineers kits to build working models such as cranes, vehicles, and robots. Sessions include creative exploration, teamwork challenges, and a group reflection. In Coding & Robotics sessions, kids assemble and program their own robots using Bluetooth-connected tablets — everything is offline and screen-safe.

Question 6

How long is each session and how many students are in a class?

Accepted Answer

Sessions typically run 45 to 75 minutes and can be tailored to your school's schedule. The ideal group size is 14 to 28 students, though we can accommodate smaller or larger groups. Multiple groups can run in parallel for larger schools.

Question 7

What program options are available — in-school, after school, or summer?

Accepted Answer

Young Engineers Toronto offers flexible delivery options: in-class enrichment during the school day, lunchtime clubs, after-school programs, special workshops on PA/PD days, and summer camp. Summer Camp 2026 runs July 6 to August 28, full-day with morning builds, afternoon coding, and weekly field trips.

Question 8

Do I need to supply any materials or equipment?

Accepted Answer

No. Young Engineers provides everything: exclusive building kits, robotics equipment, lesson materials, and trained instructors. Your school or community space only needs to provide a classroom or activity room with tables and chairs. We handle setup and cleanup before and after every session.

Question 9

How much do Young Engineers programs cost in Toronto?

Accepted Answer
